“Our Kitchen” Food Blog

The passionate foodie/chef people at Fisher Paykel shared their love for food and cooking in a blog aptly named Our Kitchen. I love offices that cook, just like we do here at Squeaky.

BTW, my boss, Anthony Del Monte, just handed me a nice plate of beautifully-layered, gourmet BLT sandwich. Yumm!!

Mojito Shoes: Best comment today…

Interesing Mojito Shoes by Julian Hakes. Weird, right? It’s designed with no foot plate. Reminds me a bit of Zaha Hadid’s for Lacoste. You can read more about it to understand the concept. For me, the best part of the whole blog entry is the comment posted by omnyum: somewhere, dog poop eagerly awaits…

It makes me laugh out loud because the exact thought crossed my mind. 🙂

Customize your Coupland

Interesting marketing piece for Douglas Coupland’s new book. Customize your Coupland invites you to go online and customize their book cover before purchase.

Neat idea but hmm… who really cares? It doesn’t add anything to the book, make it more interesting or provide any insight. I can understand if it’s a book about typography or design. The interface is nice, very Helvetica, but usability-wise, it could be better. Looks cool though.

Guinness 250 Anniversary

Guinness turns 250 and is celebrating with a bang. Love that dotted line interface.

Checkout its Guinness 250 website: Music events and celebrations around the world plus a super awesome sweepstakes. The prizes? A trip to space, an undersea voyage or a private concert.

Crazy, right? I want the space or the submarine trip. But it’s already over… Doht!

Easierthanreading.com

Easierthanreading.com is super awesome in a creepy, sideshow way.

Nicely done by Nessim Higson (IAAH). You should checkout his upgraded site (v7) as well. While you’re at it, checkout ourvice.com who did a great job on IAAH/v7 as well as their own site & portfolio pieces.
