ShadyURL

I love ShadyURL’s tagline: Don’t just shorten your URL, make it suspicious and frightening. Seriously, why not? You get more attention when you URL is downright alarming.

Check it out here: http://5z8.info/trojan_r8r5_open.exe. (I dare you to click it.)

BirdBox Alarm Clock App

BirdBox is definitely a cute app, turning your iPhone into a cuckoo alarm clock that chirps and cuckoos. Its website sells the birdbox to a physically turn your iPhone into a nesting box alarm clock, all in a mobile-friendly layout. The best part: It’s done using iProcessing, an open programming framework to help people develop native iPhone applications using the Processing language.

To find out more info and download the examples, see luckybite.com/iprocessing/. Two cuckoos to Tom Hulbert and LuckyBite!

Get Out: Le Film

Get Out movie is hillarious. Nice surprise ending. The best part: It’s a school project by a group of ESMA students (!). Yes, students.

Check out the other movies as well. Wow!

Greenmarkets NYC

My fave has to be the Union Square one for the number of vendors and variety. Favorite greenmarket snack: Raspberry nut bar from the one in Bowling Green. Yumm!!

I’m not the kind of person who saves baby seals or wears hemp clothing and be eco-friendly. But with the GoodGuide app, I can quickly scan and get ratings of the products I buy (based on how they influence my health, the environment and society). Awesome, eh? Now if only I have an iPhone…
