Pigs are Worth It!

Thanks to the folks at This is Cow with it’s fun, totally a’moo’sing site & blog, I discovered another pig- (thus, bacon-) related site that are really making my day. Follow the bacon train (from my earlier posting on Bacon)!

Pigs are worth it: Online virals by a group of about 20-30 farmers in London to produce a song called ”Stand by Your Ham,” a parody of the Tammy Wynette song, “Stand by Your Man.” Take a listen!

Supersweet Mama Quilla packaging

Love this Mama Quilla cane sugar packaging by Camille Forget, a design student in Montreal’s UQAM. It’s inspired by the tradition of building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and the favorite foods & beverages of the departed in honor of the deceased on The Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos in Spanish).

Fab Prefab Cube

I want one so I can plop it inside my apartment in Brooklyn.

My Valentine’s Day pick

Laurie Peters’ Romance & Friendship Cards: “designed with communicating Love and that special feeling that other cards fail to deliver.” Totally serial killer!

Brilliant now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t. UK-based designer and artist, Nicky, AKA “monster-munch“, designed this engraved Moleskine. See the reveal. Hilarious! I want one!

Helvetica + Moleskine

Yummm! This limited edition, gorgeous Moleskine notebook is to be stroked, sniffed and kept away from prying hands. (I guess you can skip the stroke & sniff part but I’m a paperphile so yes, I really do those things to beautiful paper products.)

These Moleskines were produced by the Helvetica Project especially for an exhibit at LaForet in Harajuku where a temporary “Helvetica Shop” selling products related to the font was set up. The Harajuku shop is gone now but don’t worry, you can still get them from Moleskine Asia, if you must.
