Awesome Infographics

Now these are some terrific infographics. Some may make you wonder how long does it take to actually make. Supernice, right? Thumbs up to all the designers.

A nod to Casey Reas & Ben Fry

Casey Reas has a minimalist site that showcases his beautiful computational artwork. Checkout the Orchestrated Perception, interactive installations and the Tissue Collection: Who knew data visualization can look so good you can wear it?

A little background info: Reas initiated Processing.org with Ben Fry during their MIT Media Lab days.

As for Ben Fry, I’ve always had a crush on his brain, ever since I laid eyes on his Paper Airplane from his Carnegie-Mellon days. Checkout his work, from the Genome projects to his personal work (see Civilian Casualties in Iraq).

Supersmart people, these two. Hmm… (contemplating what went wrong with my brain…)

Office of Blame: Art Project

Interesting art project taking place on public sidewalks and main streets across the US. Brainchild of artists Geoff Cunningham and Carla Recipe, it will hit NYC this June at AIG Headquarters in Wall Street. Perfect location since the project stem from Post 9/11 victimization, the growing lack of corporate responsibility and the economic and social divide of people living in the United States.

Check out some of the fieldwork samples.

Come and place your blame. Let it all out.

Tweet this bun!

BakerTweet from POKE on Vimeo.

Hot cakes flying out of the oven… and Poke gets to spread the sweet, sweet joy across the Twittersphere.

How about making one that will tweet your friends when you overdosed on sugar or ice cream or just getting fatter by stuffing your face. It will be called HaterTweet. I’d love that!
